We are thankful for Glen and his team. Probably the most assuring part for us was communication. Anytime we were uncertain, unsatisfied, or needing to be more informed; Glen, Frank, or another team member were quick to completely answer every concern with a thorough response throughout the process, take care of any issues, and even continued to be a help when paperwork was completed. There was always a good spirit or good customer service, even when we were overwhelmed. Selling a house is incredibly pricey, and though we struggled with accepting the high cost of selling, we were definitely blessed to have Glen and his team throughout the process.

I interviewed three realtors in my area. A friend recommended Glen Henderson.My home was located in East El Cajon. When I met Glen, I felt he was honest and he had my best interest in mind. He is a mild mannered man but when issues arose, he became a firm, well spoken defender. I signed the contract just before we opened Escrow. His fee was less than the buyer's realtor. Glen was at every showing, ready to answer any question. He met with me many times, stayed in contact frequently and was always encouraging. He and his wonderful staff had a list of subcontractors that they provided and orchestrated every repair that needed to happen before we put the house on the market. We needed to sell our mother's home in California, but we live in Florida. We were very concerned about how to accomplish that without getting taken advantage of due to the distance. Glen Henderson and his team were the perfect group. Mr. Henderson was extremely patient with us. Our 93 year old mother was reluctant to sell initially, and Mr. Henderson was totally understanding of our family dynamic. Working with Glen was a HUGE privilege as he and his team provided concierge level service at no cost increase to competitors. I had moved out of state and wanted to sell my San Diego home remotely. Glen's team took care of EVERYTHING, from prepping the home (scheduling landscapers, repairs, etc) to staging and pictures to finalize the transaction - I hardly had to lift a finger. Glen and his team prepared and sold my house in El Cajon recently. Now that may not seem like a big deal, but we had moved to North Carolina and Glen and his team handled everything for us! He is not only a Realtor, but a project manager, consultant and, at times, a counselor. I cannot express our appreciation for Glen and his team's expert knowledge and professionalism. I would say that Glen is in the "master class" of his profession. He is an expert on real estate matters and he kept us updated regularly on the market trends in our area while his team was completing a full remodel of our home leading up to listing the property. Glen was knowledgeable about national, regional and local market trends and activities that might affect the sale of our home which was important for us because we were 2500 miles away and we were relying on him so much. We knew that Glen would be looking out for our best interest and keep us informed regular updates. Glen would return calls promptly and handle all of the little details that tend to come up. Over the course of about two months we came to really trust Glen; his judgement, his expert knowledge, and his commitment to us and our project. We cannot praise Glen enough on what a fantastic job he did selling my mom's house. The thought of selling the family house my mom had lived in since 1974 was stressful and daunting for her. Glen was amazing. Not only did he do a fantastic job updating and staging the home, but we were able to move my mom out with the belongings she wanted to keep, and left everything she didn't want for Glen to take care of. We didn't want to deal with estate sales, eBay and all that. My mom also didn't want to be there, during Covid, while buyers walked in and out of her home, or while work was being done. We just wanted things to be easy. He took care of everything, was reassuring, and always communicated updates to us. My mom was able to sign all documents electronically from her new home out of town. As an added bonus, Glen was able to front the money for the new flooring, paint, and updated kitchen and bathroom. It was a very reasonable cost, and my mom's house set a record for the area! Selling a house you have lived in for decades can be emotional, and Glen's reassurance and confidence gave my mom the peace of mind she really needed.

Allow me to summarize. Let there be no doubt you want Glen Henderson as your agent. I've bought and sold around 20 homes in the past 30 years and he is outstanding. After reading a lot of information about local San Diego County Realtors from 2,300 miles away, Glen Henderson of Big Block Realty kept rising to the top of my list. I recommended him to my son who was the Executor of an Estate in Chula Vista, which included selling a home that the owner had lived in for over 42 years. During my interview with him, I quickly concluded he was professional, knowledgeable and a great listener, so I hired him to sell my home. I was a little concerned about selling a house in the middle of a pandemic but Glen was reassuring and identified numerous reasons why it was a good idea. Throughout the entire process, he and his team made everything easy with their synchronized actions and stellar communication. I do not typically write reviews but I am more than happy to post one for Glen Henderson. I interviewed three other realtors prior to choosing Glen and could not have made a better choice. I hired Glen in the first week of January and made plans to list my house at the end of March. Glen was very helpful as I was getting the house ready to sell, advised me on making repairs, and recommending a roofer. Then the pandemic and resulting stay at home orders began in San Diego, and I had to decide whether to continue with the plan or postpone selling my house. With Glen’s advice and input we decided to go ahead and list the house as scheduled. In the midst of all that craziness my house sold in 20 days and we had a back up offer in place. Glen is extremely professional, knowledgable, great at communication, and a really nice guy on top of that. His assistant, Frank, is awesome too. Several years ago, my parents listed their home for sale with Glen Henderson. Based on their experience with him, my wife and I reached out to Glen for assistance when we found out we were moving back to San Diego.Even though we were all over the map with what we wanted and where we wanted to live, Glen was very good at narrowing down properties for my wife and I to look at that fit our wants/needs. Earlier this year my 95-year-old mother, who lives in North San Diego county, told me she wanted my help in selling her rental property. I live in the Pacific Northwest so most of the help on my part was done via phone and email with an occasional trip to the Southern California for face to face meetings.We interviewed 3 separate real estate professionals. 2 of the 3 were referrals from family and/or friends and the 3rd, Glen Henderson, was a Dave Ramsey referral. This was not your usual run of the mill real estate transaction for several reasons. The property contained two separate 3-bedroom 1 bath ranch houses on a single piece of property that was NOT sub-dividable. They had been rental properties for well over 30 years and improvements had been minimal for most of that time. Each of the structures had been fully depreciated for tax purposes.Glen’s presentation was clear and direct. He recognized that we would be looking, NOT for the average real estate buyer, but for investors and/or builders who could secure their own private financing. Fortunately, Glen’s 16 years of experience in the San Diego area through good and bad real estate markets had introduced him to a number of folks who would match well with our needs. Glen’s estimate as to what the property would sell for was higher by $50,000 to $100,000 than the other two presenters. As it turned out Glens “guess” was exactly what we ended up getting for the property.Glen was accessible even over the 1200-mile distance between us. He communicated clearly and promptly via phone calls and emails to keep us informed as well as to respond to questions. One other factor that separated Glen from the “normal” real estate person was that he had connections with financial advisers who were able to work with him and us in the sale to legally avoid a tax amount that would have been 30% of the sales price. The financial person, Glen, and I were able to work as a team to overcome some minor hiccups that accompany almost any real estate transaction. The property was sold to an investor Glen has worked with previously and for the full asking price.My mother – now 96 years old – is delighted to no longer be a “land-lady”. She is also proud to hold the record as Glen’s oldest client. 😊 Both she and I are very pleased with Glen’s work ethic and ability and would highly recommend him to anyone in the San Diego area.

Everyone's brother, uncle, or friend from high school is a real estate agent - so you have a ton of options on who to partner with for probably the largest transaction of your life. The majority of our savings was locked away as equity in our home, and we had to maximize our return.We interviewed two top east county agents and reached out to Dave Ramsey for the third referral - which turned out to be Glen Henderson. We wanted to remove the emotional part out of the decision on who to go with, so we had ten items which we weighted each agent by, amount of homes closed, east county activity, etc. Glen came in with a different pitch, talked about how he brings in a professional designer to help stage the home, etc..We also found ourselves in a bit of a legal battle over the transaction which (Which did'nt involve Glen's team) caused us to lose our buyer. At Glen's cost, brought in a real-estate attorney to help advise us.Long story short, we closed our house $150,000 more than the next two agents had planned even to put in on the market for - I believe they were looking for a quick transaction vs. helping us maximize our earnings.NET:If you've ever heard about a real estate transaction go bad, ours was the worst - We tell people the story today and they just don't believe what happened. Glen's a partner you can trust, he's proved he's in it just as deep as you are!Don't go for the guy that sells the most houses, he might sell the most because he's looking for the transaction - not to maximize your return. "Close it move on to the next"Remember any salesperson can sell a $1 for 75 cents.

I had a unique situation where my company transferred the headquarters from San Diego to New York City. Obviously, the reorganization is not unique these days. However, I was left in a situation where I still had my income, but due to a mortgage that was underwater, I had to go through a short sale in order to move.I had tried to deal with the banks myself, but after three failed attempts at asking for options, I reached out to Shannon Keatley at the San Diego Short Sale Experts (Silvercrest Realty). She immediately set up an in-person appointment to review my situation. Because of my continued income and previous attempts with the bank, I was very unsure that they could help me. She assured me that they had alot of experience with similar situations, and was optimistic. (with good reason)We started the process immediately with their initial package of paperwork. (The paperwork was familiar, but unlike the banks, Shannon was always available and helped me through every step of the way.) Once we got the initial paperwork in, I most often dealt with other employees at Silvercrest. I was initially impressed with Shannon's availability and support, but EVERYONE I encountered at Silvercrest was outstanding. I will mention that more later.So in less than 30 days from the initial meeting, Silvercrest found a buyer, and in less than 90 days they received approval from both of my banks. (by some act of god) I wish that was the end of the story. By no fault of Silvercrest, the original buyer decided to back out after the bank approval. After this, Silvercrest immediately got another buyer on board, but the banks decided to stop cooperating.I'm a project manager by profession (and by nature), so once the initial deal fell through, I felt very unstable. I started to contact the office about every move they were making, and the staff there continued to be amazing. Every email, every phone call, every venting frustration, they answered immediately and with an eagerness to help. I could not be more happy with both Natalie and Camille throughout this whole process.All of our patience was tried, as the banks continued to jerk around and break deadlines and deals, but they persisted through all of the trials and tribulations. By no means was this an easy or short process, as anyone who goes through it can tell you, but I would have never been successful without Shannon, Natalie and Camille! Everytime the banks made me worry, they assured me that they have it taken care of, and ultimately I have to say that they were absolutely right. They took care of me through the whole process.My advice to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home (or have to go through a short sale like I did) is to make the first call to Silvercrest.Thank you for everything!

My husband and I worked with Shannon and Glen on our short sale. I am pleased to say that it was actually a very pleasant and reasonably easy experience. Going into doing the short sale - I thought it would be a lot harder and more frustrating..... but then we met Shannon, and she made everything so smooth and effortless. She would email us ALL of the items we would need to read and sign, and give us complete lists of everything we needed to bring to our appointments - That made it so easy!She was very compassionate with us and showed lots of understanding and support. Which was great since it was not an easy decision for us to do the short sale.Our place had several offers in the first couple of days of being on the market and escrow closed about 4 months later. So much easier and faster then we thought it would be. Shannon worked hard with the bank trying to get them to agree to everything we were asking for! I am still very pleased with the amount of time and effort she put into this whole thing for us.I think one of the things I most appreciated was how easy it was to get a hold of them. Almost every single time we called, they answered and took the time to talk to us and go through all our questions and concerns. Shannon and Glen at Silvercrest Reality are just wonderful! We were in a bad situation, close to foreclosure and felling lost on what to do to get out of it. We had talked about Short Selling, but we didn't know where to start. We kept hearing from people that we might be too late to start a Short Sale. We didn't have much to lose, so we called Shannon and Glen (San Diego Short Sale Experts). Man are we glad that we did! They responded immediately and started with our file that day! The first thing they were able to do its stop the bank from moving forward with foreclosure, allowing us more time in the house to figure out what out next move would be. Before we knew it, Shannon and Glen got the Short Sale approved and our house was on the market! They did an amazing job of driving our short-sale from bank approval to close, which is no small feat. It gave us time to find another home and allowed us to start the road to rebuild for our future. The best part was, they negotiated us large sum for the “Cash for Keys” also know as “Short Sale Relocation Assistance” that made the end of the process seem worth it.Shannon and Glen are caring, professional, tenacious and committed. This process can be very frustrating for sellers since there is little visibility into what’s happening from week to week. I don't know where to start, but the Silvercrest Realty Group greatly exceeded my expectations and I am truly thankful that the short sale of my condo was successful. It took us an entire year from start to finish, but I can say that we closed on our condo last week and I couldn't be happier.I happened to listen to the Craig Sewing show and I had heard Glen on the radio talking about short sales. I was a bit skeptical at first since I had never called anyone after hearing them on the radio, but I was surprised at how welcoming Glen was even after I talked with him on the phone.So I decided to take the leap and meet Glen and Jacqueline at their office. I really didn't know what to expect and am always very careful when it comes to choosing a real estate agent, but Glen and Jacqueline exceeded my expectations. They were thoroughly prepared for our meeting and laid out step by step what we should expect. Of course we had to do our part and I gave them bank statements, a letter explaining my situation as to why I need a short sale, and paystubs.I was also really impressed with our listing and the quality photos that Glen had taken to showcase our property. Immediately we received an offer; however, due to buyer circumstances that fell through. We again put the property up and was given another offer, but yet again due to circumstances that fell through. I’ve thought about how I could put into word just how great working with Shannon, Glen and the rest of their team has been, but I’m having a hard time conveying just how AWESOME they are. My husband and I went to them when we realized we would be moving to a different state all while having a condo in San Diego that was nowhere near worth what we bought it for. We were referred by our friends who just went through a short sale and raved about how awesome they were. At that point we didn’t know what our options were. We were anxious, nervous and confused. After our very first meeting with Shannon we walked out of her office instantly feeling better! She took the time to explain exactly what our options were and answered the million questions we had. After we decided to go with a Short Sale, Shannon and Glen came to our property and sat down with us explaining the entire process… what we could expect, what would scare us and so on…they were honest the entire time and were 100% correct with how the process ended up working. They never made any promises, but were always positive, which helped keep us positive! I would email and call with questions constantly and never once did I feel like I was a bother to them (although I apologized many many times). They truly made the long, stressful process of a Short Sale as easy as possible for us. We were in constant contact even though I knew they were busy with other properties. I always felt like I was the main focus of their attention and that they were doing everything in their power to have a successful short sale for US.
